The events of the last two weeks have clearly revealed that the global financial, monetary and banking system imposed on the world by the power structures promoting “globalization” is fundamentally flawed, unviable and immoral in its effects upon the most all of Mankind. After allowing a small cabal of shady characters to illegitimately accumulate vast amounts of wealth and power over markets, corporations, industries, media, armed forces and entire nations, like the World Trade Center towers on 9/11, this entire System is now in free-fall, collapsing into itself in one massive implosion.

Il sistema finanziario sta esplodendo. Non date ascolto agli esperti, guardate solamente le cifre. Secondo la Reuters, la scorsa settimana “le banche americane hanno preso a prestito una quantità record di denaro dalla Federal Reserve per quasi 188 miliardi di dollari al giorno di media, rivelando che la banca centrale è ricorsa a rimedi estremi per mantenere a galla il sistema bancario nel bel mezzo della più grande crisi finanziaria dai tempi della Grande Depressione.”

La carta commerciale è il lubrificante che consente il funzionamento dei mercati finanziari. Quando svanisce la fiducia (perché gli amministratori del sistema a Washington sono dei pagliacci), gli investitori ritirano i propri soldi, le normali operazioni d’affari diventano impossibili e i mercati crollano. Fine della storia. Quindi, piuttosto che recuperare la fiducia dell’opinione pubblica con una leadership forte e un comportamento consono per tranquillizzare gli investitori, il Presidente Bush ha deciso di tenere un discorso in prima serata dichiarando che se il pacchetto di salvataggio di Paulson non fosse stato approvato immediatamente, l’economia del paese sarebbe evaporata. Pensate un po’!

Chissà perché, mi torna in mente la vecchia storiella dei tulipani olandesi… Non la conoscete? E’ per questo che quello che succede adesso vi stupisce…

L’undici settembre viene spessissimo citato in relazione all’attuale cosiddetta “crisi finanziaria”. Gran parte di quelli che lo citano sono persone che sembra non ne sappiano nulla o non siano per niente interessati a ciò che è veramente successo quel giorno. E tuttavia tutti sembrano “cogliere” il parallelo. Che strano. O forse no.

Sentiamo sempre dire che l’economia non sopravvivrà se non salviamo gli speculatori e i loro inutili portafogli. Ma – proprio come nel caso dell’ 11 settembre – la storia vera è proprio l’opposto di quella ufficiale. Il mercato sopravvivrà – se mai sopravvivrà – allo stesso modo in cui un corpo malato cura se stesso: eliminando da sé le tossine e i parassiti che le producono.

Il vero punto del piano “di salvataggio” è che assieme all’acquisto da parte del tesoro dei certificati tossici si vogliono fare approvare norme che conferiscono potere ed immunità illimitata al ministro del tesoro…

Teacher comment: Student relies too heavily on Goldman Sachs credentials.

When Paulson went up to Capitol Hill last week, he and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke warned of dire consequences to the financial system if Congress failed to pass a bill quickly.

This is the same Paulson who assured Congress that the subprime crisis was contained, that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — now wards of the state — were well-capitalized, that he needed a bazooka in order not to fire it, and that the banking system was “safe and sound.”

None of these assertions turned out to be accurate.

While public servants tend to present crises in the most favorable light, at some point the messenger starts to lose credibility.

Paulson to Congress: Trust me.

Congress to Paulson: Fool us twice, shame on us.

La credibilità è un capitale, e una volta che il capitale è dilapidato, come qualsiasi capitale esso non riappare per magia.

If more people understood what has happened in the British and American banking system, the financial crisis would only be containable by the immediate partial nationalisation of every bank in Britain and America. There was not a run on the banks by depositors queuing in the streets to withdraw their savings. Rather, it was an escalating and terrifying run on the banks in effect by themselves, which, if it spread to millions of small savers, would reproduce the events of 1929.

Everybody tries to ‘game’ the system on their route to vast personal fortunes – whether short-selling, packaging up dud mortgages as prime mortgages or telling lies about their financial viability – and the result is that the system is getting wise. The best course today in any financial transaction is to presume zero integrity. Credit is drying up and with it the very lifeblood of the economy.

Siamo ad un passo dalla fine del credito. Come dica la parola stessa, al “credito” bisogna crederci. Se si perde la fede che il credito possa venire ripagato, non si fa più credito. Questa fede sta adesso scomparendo dal mondo. Scomparirà allora probabilmente anche il credito. E dato che la nostra economia è interamente fondata sul credito, anche la nostra economia sparirà. Per quanto bizzarro ciò oggi possa sembrare.

For the first time in as long as I can remember, I find myself on George W. Bush’s side. It’s rather lonely. The US President has been wrong about so much during his eight years in office that it is tempting to dismiss his warnings of the impending financial apocalypse as yet more hyperbole – the boy crying wolf.

Se Bush è l’unico che ci può tirare fuori dai guai, siamo messi proprio bene…
